The next event dedicated to "Science Day" was held at the Observatory, jointly organized by Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory named after N.Tusi of ANAS and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University on March 15.

            The opening ceremony was opened by the director of ShAO, corresponding member of ANAS Namig Jalilov said that establishment of March 27 as the "Science Day" in Azerbaijan by President Ilham Aliyev's Order of 9 April 2018 was met with great sympathy by the scientific community and holding such events would increase the interest of the Republic's youth in science and will be a great impetus for their future development as a specialist.

            Then the director of the Shamakhy branch of the Azerbaijan Pedagogical University, PhD in Philology Tunzala Yusifova pointed out the President's attention and care to science and education to the attention of the participants.

            Interesting reports were presented to the event participants, they were informed about the two-meter telescope of the Observatory and the scientific-research works carried out here and their questions were answered.

            It should be noted that the Observatory organized the "Super Moon" event at the Observatory and the Tusi Bohm Planetarium on 19th of February, 2019 and "Astronomy Winter School" was organized in the Observatory on March 8-10, for the students of the leading universities of the country.
