The beginning and end of the conference

We remind you of some dates of the conference.

September 15, 2019 is an arrival day. We will organize transfer from Heydar Aliyev airport in Baku to the observatory. On September 15, there will be two bus routes from the airport to the observatory. Travel time is about 2 hours. Those who have not yet bought fly tickets, please, if possible, buy them on September 15, so that you can deliver from the airport to the observatory by scheduled buses.

The first bus will collect those, who arrives via the morning and night flights, and depart the airport at 15:00. For those, who arrives via the morning flights: in order not to wait at the airport for a long time, you can be delivered to the guest house of the Academy of Sciences, where you can relax or, leaving your belongings, walk around the city before the bus departure time to the observatory.

The second bus leaves the airport at around 21:00. Time is being specified.

Individual participants, who come later and do not catch the observatory buses, will be met at their request. To do this, they must provide LOC with information on the arrival time, flight number, number of passengers.

A group of volunteers at the Baku railway station and at the bus station will meet arrivals from other countries by train or bus.

Those, who wish to come to the observatory under their own power, can hire a taxi or travel by public transport from the main bus station in Baku. From the airport, the city center can be reached by express bus. The fare is 0.30 AZN. The cost of a taxi from Baku to the observatory is about 25-50 AZN. You can also come to Shamakhy city by regular buses and minibuses that regularly carry out Baku-Shamakhy rounds. The fare on the bus is 3 AZN. From Shamakhy to the observatory one can also arrive by taxi or by bus from the northern stop of Shamakhy towards the observatory. Despite the simplicity of this route, the Organizing Committee will organize the transfer of all participants who promptly informed about the time of arrival in Baku.

Schedule of the meeting transport will be sent out later, when it becomes known a time of arrival of the conference participants. The organizing committee asks to inform on time about your arrival time.

September 16 is the beginning of the conference.

The conference ends at noon of September 20th. Immediately after the end, there will be an excursion to Shamakhy and Lagich.

On September 20 and 21, the LOC will organize the delivery of participants to Baku, the airport, and other points of departure.
